Parade starts at Rubery legion 11:45 opening at 12.00 St Chads Park. Lots of charitys taking part including British Legion, Macmillions, Heart Foundation, Blue Cross plus local community groups. There will be top local singers, dancers and live entertainment also in the Rubery Social Club all free to entry to the public charity table to tombola, pony rides etc. Tony Maslen chairman says people of rubery come and support your local community.

The Great War from the point of view of W&T Avery Limited at Soho Foundry - some employees volunteered to fight, some were in reserved occupations. Joseph Priestley (1733-1804) was a theologian, dissenting clergyman, natural philosopher, liberal thinker and chemist and is credited with the discovery of oxygen. He lived in Birmingham from 1780 until he was driven out by the religiously motivated mob violence in 1791 in the Birmingham riots that bear his name.
