Looking for a unique gift or a special card for a special someone? Then join us for our Christmas Craft Fair. Open from 10am on Saturday 5th December, this event will be full of handmade goodness! There’ll be 17 stalls to tempt you selling a variety of cards, jewellery, cakes, bespoke furniture, folded books, sewn items, unique prints, Christmas decorations, bags, bunting, gift boxes, knitted things and flowers. And if you start to flag, don’t worry a selection of refreshments will be on offer throughout the day.
Most of the stall holders are local makers, many of whom have plenty of experience in creating one-off pieces that you just couldn’t find in the shops. Looking for something for the home? Come and visit ReBloom Designs who create bespoke furniture and soft furnishings, all of which are utterly collectable or Natalie Russel who artfully folds back the pages of books to reveal beautiful images! A unique card? Pop in and rummage through Sue’s Special Stitches or Karena Crafts’ collections.
Perhaps you’d like something you can wear and enjoy – if so, come and explore Jane Winson’s jewellery, Dolores McGuinness’ sewing, Stephanie Collins’ knitting or Sue Young’s bags. How about a gift that you could post or hang on the wall? There’s more clever work with books and paper from Dawn Hunter, prints from Kathryn Alvis and bunting by Abbie Marsh. Or maybe you need the last stocking filler or finishing touch? No problem! We have chocolates from Sharon Trevis, keyrings by Kirstie Norris, wrapping sets by Jane Cotterill, gift boxes made by Rosanna Holman and flowers from Amy’s Floral Design!
If all that makes you feel a little puckish – don’t worry, there will also be a well-stocked cake stall and a warm, friendly refreshments area. Last but by no means least, our raffle will feature prizes donated from each of the stalls.
All money raised at the St Chad’s Christmas Craft Fair will support the ongoing work of the church and help maintain this much-loved building for future generations. For more information about St Chad’s, the Christmas Fair or Christmas services, please email the Vicar, Rev’d Claire Turner on revclaireturner@gmail.com or pop in to church one Sunday!
