Fourteen shops have participated in the Window Dressing Competition together with additional pictures from local schools.
The windows have been judged and first place is “Farm Animal & Bird Sanctuary”, followed by “Poplar Carpets” in second place. Joint third is the new tea room “Polly Put the Kettle on” and “Scissor Stitch”. Special commendations also to “Special Times,” and “Behan Brothers”.
We are grateful to Tesco in the village for the first place prize. The week’s celebrations continue with a St George’s Day afternoon tea on Thursday 23rd April at the Beacon Church Centre in Whetty Lane at 3.00 pm, with free admission.
The week will conclude with a Dinner and Cabaret at Kings Norton Golf Club.
