Waseley Hills High School Donates Hampers to Age-UK

Once again the staff and students at Waseley Hills High School have been busy collecting and designing for their annual Christmas hamper competition.

On Monday 8th December Headteacher Alan Roll handed over those hampers to Age-UK.

Chairman of Bromsgrove and District Age-UK Sheelagh Keen said – ‘Waseley Hills High School has been preparing Hampers for Age-UK Bromsgrove and District for a number of years. Each year they have a competition and the innovation and ideas are amazing.

This contribution to our local community is a wonderful example of caring younger people. I would like to thank Staff and students and all who contribute for their continued interest.
In fact we have reason to give a double Thank you to the people of Rubery as we opened a shop in New Road Rubery this year that has been very successful. We are able to invest the profits for the shop directly back into services for older people in Rubery.
In supporting the Age-UK shop either by donating goods buying goods or volunteering in the shop we are able to offer reasonably priced services such as our handyman scheme and Help at home to enable older people to retain their independence. So Thank you Rubery!’
